However, most significantly, you think about the food \u2013 especially Modak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So if you\u2019re on a ketogenic diet suddenly you know that you aren\u2019t reckoned to eat sugar, but the taste of modak is just so fascinating. Now, this may be notably hard to endure ten days of Ganesh Chaturthi without the pleasing treat. But who says you can&#8217;t have it, and just as you\u2019re on a keto diet doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t enjoy your favorite keto desserts? This recipe does not use a single high-carb ingredient and still holds its form well together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The ingredients that you want are paneer, chena, coconut flour, milk, and an artificial sweetener to add texture to your keto modak.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>KETO MODAK RECIPE-<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Shell\/Outer Covering:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Paneer: 50 grams, grated<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chhena: 100 grams<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coconut Flour: 1\/2 cup<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cardamom Powder: 1\/2 tsp<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kewra Extract (optional): 4-5 drops<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Filling:<\/span><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coconut Powder: 100 grams<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coconut Milk: 150 ml<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cardamom powder: 1 tsp<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Poppy Seeds: 1 tsp<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ghee: 1 tbsp.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Liquid Stevia: 30-32 drops (I use FOS-based stevia, a greater quantity of non-FOS stevia might be needed)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Filling:<\/span><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ardor ghee in a dense-bottomed pan\/kadhai.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While the ghee is hot, add cardamom powder and poppy seeds. Saute for 30 seconds on a low flame.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Affix the coconut powder and on a medium flame, roast for about 10 mins. It will turn a light brown shade of color and while roasting, keep stirring to avoid burning.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whisk the coconut milk and liquid stevia collectively and add to the coconut mixture.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continue cooking on a low flame until the moisture has disappeared from the mixture.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Turn off the flame and keep the mixture aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Outer Shell:<\/span><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beat the first four ingredients of the outer shell and knead them into a dough.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mix really well until the dough is smooth in texture.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Affix the kewra extract and knead a little more.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cut the dough into equal parts and make small balls about the size of a Gulab Jamun.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Modak:<\/span><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Smooth the dough balls gently with the palm of your hand.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ladle some filling, roll it tight and press into the flattened ball.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assemble the edges of the flattened ball and press them together.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Quite gently, shape into a laddoo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now either use your fingers to detain it into the form of a Modak or you can use a Modak Mould to give it a more complete shape.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now place the Modaks in the hollow provided for splashing the batter and vapor just like you would steam an Idli <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">for 15 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Next up when Modaks have been steamed, allow them to cool down for half an hour or so.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Endeavor to Ganesh Ji preeminent and then savor.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nutrition info per serving :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Calories- 125.3<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Net Carb- 1.38g<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Protein- 2.5g<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fats-12.2g<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Modaks are compatible with Ganesh Chaturthi and a low-carb diet shall not stop you from glorifying this festival without coddling in this treat.
