It&#8217;s filled with tender chicken, fresh veggies, hearty pasta, and herbs and lemon for flavor. An excellent comforting soup for cold winter days or those dreadful sick days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The considerable thing about this soup is that once you have diced your vegetables you just throw everything into the slow cooker and walk away. There is no need to fry the vegetables beforehand.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">INGREDIENTS<\/span><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">eight cups water or 8 cups chicken broth<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">one cup carrot, cut into 1\/4-inch slices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 cup celery, cut into 1\/4-inch slices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 cup onion, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">one garlic clove, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 bay leaves<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\u20442teaspoon dried thyme<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4 teaspoons salt (to taste)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\u20442 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper, to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(3 1\/2 lb) roasting chickens<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 cups wide egg noodles, uncooked<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To a slow cooker, put in chicken (left whole), diced carrots, onion, celery, and garlic.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pour in olive oil, chicken broth, water, thyme, rosemary, celery seed, and bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper to taste.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shield and cook on low heat for 6 &#8211; 7 hours.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Take out cooked chicken and allow it to rest for 10 minutes, then dice it into bite-size pieces.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meanwhile, add egg noodles and parsley to the slow cooker.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Increase the flame to high, cover, and cook 10 minutes longer (or until noodles are tender).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Squeeze in lemon juice and toss in cooked, diced chicken. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Serve warm with crackers or top with Parmesan cheese if desired.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Nutrition Information Per Serving :<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Calories: 355kcal\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Carbohydrates: 22g\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Protein: 35g\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fat: 12g\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup is total comfort food.
