This dish is pretty easy to make at home that there\\&#8217;s no reason to pick up a tub at the store. All you need are two ingredients \u2013 full-fat milk and an acidic agent like lemon juice, vinegar, or yogurt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So here are simple to follow instructions to make homemade paneer so that you never go wrong, and try making our own paneer every time you crave some.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Cottage Cheese at Home Recipe-\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ingredients<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 litre Full Fat Milk or whole milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 1\/2 tablespoons Lemon juice or vinegar Or half-cup Yogurt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Instructions<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bring milk to a roaring boil and reduce the flame to a simmer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add the souring agent of your choice- lemon juice, vinegar, or yogurt and whisk with a spoon. Boil for 2-3 minutes till you see the milk starting to split.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Turn off the flame as soon as the milk splits completely and separates into whey and cheese curds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Line a sieve with a muslin cloth or cheesecloth and place this over another vessel. Drain the paneer into the cheesecloth and collect the whey into the bottom. Use the whey to make a refreshing drink or kneading dough.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once the whey has exerted out, you can use the paneer as is. Or if you wish to shape it into a block, cover the paneer with the edges of the cheesecloth and place a heavy weight on it. Set this aside for 10 minutes. Slice and store the paneer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Recipe Notes!<\/span><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also use low-fat milk or skimmed milk.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Storage: Paneer can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4-5days. Immerse it in water to keep it fresh and soft. The water prevents it from drying out.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Freezing Paneer: Paneer can be frozen, though it tastes slightly powdery when thawed.
