  • 3 tbsp cashew
  • ½ onion (sliced)
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 green chili
  • 2 tsp salt

Step 1-  To begin, rinse your rice until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in fresh water for 20 to 30 minutes, then drain and set aside. Also, cut the tomatoes in small pieces.

Step 2- Next, use your 3-liter pressure cooker to heat the oil over a low temperature until it is barely simmering. You might use any oil that has a neutral flavor.

Step 3- Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds to the hot oil and fry until they crackle. After that, add 4 to 5 fenugreek seeds (methi) and cook for a few seconds. Add ⅓ cup chopped onions, ½ inch cinnamon stick, 2 green cardamom pods, cashews, and 2 to 3 whole cloves.

Step 4- Add  2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste, 6 to 7 curry leaves, and 1 chopped green chili. Add the chopped tomatoes to the vessel and cook them until the oil begins to set aside.

Step 5-Add the soaked rice and next up, add 1¾ cup water. Add 2 cups water for softer rice. Put salt according to taste and put the lid on, let it cook for 10 mins.
