Dahi Bhindi

Dahi Bhindi Recipe is a great way to enjoy okra in a tangy creamy sauce. Dahi Bhindi is simply delicious and easy to make.

Okra is a rich source of many nutrients, including fiber, vitamin B6, and folate. B vitamins slow the progress of diabetic neuropathy and reduce levels of homocysteine, a risk factor for this disease. The soluble fiber also helps to stabilize blood sugar levels.

NOTES

Always properly wash okra and dry it with a kitchen towel. Rest it for at least 30 minutes before using to prevent slime in bhindi.

Use nicely whisked yogurt for preparing the curry. Do not add the yogurt in its natural form as it might not give a smooth and silky texture to the gravy.

Also, add fried okra into the curry at the last or just a few minutes before finally serving it.
